Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and driving sales growth throughout an assigned Texas territory. Candidates may be based in Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, or other areas of Texas, with travel throughout their assigned region.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers while working closely with estimating, engineering, project management, and production teams to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.
The ideal candidate has experience selling industrial electrical products or engineered solutions and brings an established network of relationships within the electrical industry.
Responsibilities & Authority
- Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, OEMs, EPC firms, electrical contractors, system integrators, distributors, and industrial end users
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer visits
- Generate and manage quotations while coordinating with internal estimating and engineering teams
- Follow opportunities from initial contact through project award and production
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and presentations showcasing WEST’s capabilities
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts
- Represent Willis Electrical at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the long-term growth of the company
Qualifications
- Outside sales experience in industrial electrical, automation, power distribution, or related industries
- Existing relationships with customers throughout Texas are strongly preferred
- Experience selling engineered products, electrical equipment, or custom manufacturing solutions
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a CRM software
- Willingness to travel throughout an assigned Texas territory
Compensation
Compensation is flexible and will be based on the candidate’s experience, existing customer relationships, and territory.
Willis Electrical is open to multiple compensation structures, including:
- Base salary plus commission
- Commission-only
- Other performance-based compensation arrangements for highly qualified candidates

Electrical Drafter
An Electrical Drafter is responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation to support engineering projects. This role works closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to develop accurate design packages for construction, manufacturing, or installation.
Responsibility and Authority
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation to support engineering projects
- Work closely with customers, production, project managers, and other disciplines to develop accurate design packages for construction, manufacturing, installation, and wiring
- Create detailed 2D layouts and drawings for electrical enclosures
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, electrical codes, 3rd party standards, and customer requirements
- Review vendor drawings and incorporate approved equipment data into project documents
- Revise drawings based on engineering markups and client feedback
- Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision logs
- Assist in standardizing design templates, symbols, and drawing practices
- Support continuous improvement of design processes and shop efficiency
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation practices
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 1-2 years experience with AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent software, completing physical panel layouts and wiring diagrams
- Formal training is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of electrical symbols, schematics, and industry drafting standards
- Understanding of power systems, motor controls, PLC layouts, and instrumentation diagrams
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Electrical Estimator / Inside Sales Representative
We are looking for an Electrical Estimator / Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing customer requests, building accurate quotes, and working closely with customers and internal teams to win and execute projects. Responsibilities include evaluating material and labor costs, assisting in quote preparations, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. The candidate will maintain strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all estimates align with customer demands and expectations.
This is a technical role that is ideal for someone who understands electrical systems and enjoys working directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, drawings, and specifications for control panel projects
- Build detailed and accurate quotes for customers
- Communicate with customers to clarify scope, timelines, and requirements
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility
- Follow up on quotes and help convert opportunities into orders
- Maintain and manage opportunities in CRM
- Support outside sales and key accounts as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical estimating, inside sales, or project coordination
- Background in control panels, motor control, PLCs, or industrial electrical systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple quotes/projects
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with control panels preferred
- Familiarity with VFDs, MCCs, or custom automation panels preferred
